GBSEx 08 is an international salsa spectacular brought to you by Salsology®, organisers of Brit Salsafest 06 and 07. This brand new and exciting event will take place on 21-23 November 08 in Manchester’s fabulous, gothic Town Hall. Slap bang in the middle of Manchester’s fashionable city centre, this venue offers a lavish and dramatic setting for what will be a 3-day salsa extravaganza - the first ever international dance festival held here!
GBSEx 08 features a world class line-up of over 80 instructors, performers and DJs and we expect 1500 dancers from around the globe to attend. There’ll be 80 plus hours of workshops, 3 late night parties and showcases from the world’s best. Pre-book your workshops…
We reckon we’re the first to organise pre-booked workshops for a major salsa event. We’ve thought long and hard about this as it has its pros and cons, but we’ve listened to your feedback after Brit Salsafest and recognise that one area for improvement is tackling workshop overcrowding.
We’ve been developing a new booking system which will require everyone to choose their workshops prior to the event and therefore allow us to monitor numbers and ensure no workshop is over subscribed. This doesn’t mean certain workshops won’t be large – this is an international congress-style event and we want to give as many of you as possible the chance to benefit from instruction from teachers we don’t see in the UK often. What it does mean is that we won’t pack you in where there isn’t enough floor space to accommodate you comfortably.
Please bear with us through any teething problems we might have with the new system, but we believe this will dramatically improve your learning experience at the event.
