Mike, along with Karen (AKA Salsaroja) is the co-founder of The LatinExperience (www.thelatinexperience.com) Liverpool. Mikes interest in salsa music and dancing started back in 1998/99. Since that time he has developed a deep passion for the music, in particular, Puerto Rican, New York and Mambo, although this is not to the exclusion of other genre’s of good quality salsa such as Cuban and Columbian.
Mike's interest in Djing was born out of an enthusiasm for promoting and spreading his new found love of the music, which cumulated in becoming a co–founder of, The Latin Experience, with Karen (AKA Salsaroja). Over the last seven/eight years, Mike being both a dancer and Dj has gained a reputation for giving dancers of all abilities and styles the music they want to hear and dance to, and he is able to read the mood of the dance floor and play accordingly. Some of Mike’s favourite artists are Louie Ramirez, Hector Lavoe, Hector Rivera Bobby Valentin and Sonora Poncena along with many others.
Mike is currently in demand and has Dj’d at various Club Cubana weekend events, held at Pontins. In September 2006 he was the guest DJ at the 1st Latin Dance Cyprus Salsa Festival held in Nicosia and Limassol. In February 2007 Mike was also a confirmed Dj at the Brit SalsaFest Blackpool.For 2008 Mike has been invited to Dj at the Club Cubana weekend event, held at Pontins Pakefield, Salsology’s 5th Birthday event with Jimmy Bosch and the GBSex 08 congress November 2008.
